Foreign Languages
This class is designed to introduce the Spanish language, culture and geography. Ethnic and social norms will be analyzed as will festivals and traditions from the various Spanish speaking countries. Varying methods of introduction will be used such as vocabulary, question/ answer, puzzles, games, music and song.

Noticias: Students will be making sock puppets to open our conversation unit. They need to bring a sock (used is fine, best if it doesn't have a mate) by Monday Sept. 10. Also, if you have any fun craft items you would be willing to donate to the class to make these puppets extraordinary, it would be greatly appreciated. Examples: googly eyes, felt, glitter, hot glue guns with hot glue (I will make sure the glue gun returns to you), sequins, pipe cleaners, and such. Throughout the year we will make fun Spanish related art and supply lists will come home with your student, though it is not a requirement, it would be greatly appreciated.
